Sorry people I broke my promise of not blogging until my last paper BUT this is something i need to blog!
I was happily watching the 9pm channel 8 show (hello i need my breaktime yea?) and just nice 10pm my neighbour Guohui sent me an sms...
"hey our market on fire!!!"
I jitao wear my bra, changed my short and pia-ed down to be the typical Kpo singaporean.
The moment i reached the back carpark, about half the neighbourhood were already there. I saw the smoke and thought they already put down the fire. Called jacqueline who stay right opp the market and she said the other side was still burning, so i pia-ed to the other side and saw more people watching from there!! The fire was still burning lor!!! From the inside of the market, so its not from the food stalls. BUT STILL, NO JOOHENG bar chor mee, NO wanton mee, NO duck kway teow soup, NO soybean milk........for the next few weeks or maybe months.....
It's heart-wrenching to see the sight of the burning market as my parents are hawker themselves. I know how angry and sad the hawkers and stall owners from the market feel. Gone....the market just got burnt down this way....It's really not easy for people who make a living in the market , they gotto wake up damn early just to open their stall and earn that little money for a living....I feel really sad especially to those very old uncles and aunties, selling eggs or those dried food,earning that humble amount. Imagine what they gonna do after this??? Those who bought insurance are lucky but i think there are still a few who didnt buy it, or is it a must for hawker to buy?? am not too sure...
moral of the story?? BUY INSURANCE LAH! hahaha.....(nono im not selling insurance, friends pls dun run away from me hor?)

Ok, actually the circle part is a tree...muhahaha at first i thought WTF?!?!? a smiling face? But i realised most of the pic has tat tree in it! haha I thought similar to 911 sia~~
the front market nearer to the temple and yck CC...the whole road was blocked lor!
and i seriously dunno what these commando buses came for?!?!? They should send more fire engines right?? wth......
can you see the fire??? still burning leh, and i heard small explosion happening inside....fear for the lifes of the firemen lor....Oh they switched off the main gas the moment they reached. Fast hor?
centre carpark. Told u half of the neighbourhood were there liao....basically the whole market was being surrounded lah....
and i saw one of my dad's customer!!! wahahaha...talk to him and he told me that someone saw the fire started from the incenses n paper money stall near the roasted duck stall....and he immediately called 995 but who knows the fire spread so fast!!!
lucky no one was injured.....i think so lar.....
