UNO at 26 days...

Hello!! Ya, it's about my JIAO again! wahahahahaha......

Incredibly fast!

Week 2 baby lovebird!!

How time flies~~~~
It has grown so much within a week!
Incredible sight!
Actually wanna name it as Pinky, but I guess not anymore....=x
Just look at the body! So huge now! With little furs and feathers!
And the eyes are 1/3 opened! (not in this pic thou, coz my hand was very warm and it fell asleep immediately)

DAY 9 BABY LOVEBIRD!!!!

OMG!! Is it scary or what??? LOL

It's starting to change color and look at the wing, seems like some chao ta BBQ chicken wing lor
hahahaha....and look at the crop (the yellow bulge below the head)!!! So big and look as thou it's going to burst!!! I guess Bluey is spoiling the only child by feeding it non-stop!


















The eyes are not yet open. Once it's opened, Kris will bring it back home for hand feeding 3 times a day for a week before passing it back to me. I can afford to feed 2 times a day nia, so no choice but to let him take care of it first.

BABY LOVEBIRD!!!! 04-08-09

Hello people!!!! I am finally a grandma now!!!!
After waiting for 28 days EXACTLY, one of the egg finally hatched!!!
I was about to give up when I saw how Bluey started to ignore the eggs. I read from somewhere that the female bird will lose interest in the eggs once they know its infertile.

I've calculated that it will hatch on the 4th, I even noted it down on my calendar!!!
On 5th morning, I was doing the usual routine, changing their water, replacing the food, out of curiousity, I used a touch light and shine into the box and was shocked to see a baby!!!
I did check on 4th morning, nothing out yet, so my guess was either 4th night or 5th early morning!

Ahhhhhh....I am so excited to find out what color it is going to be! Pure Blue like Bluey? Green?? or maybe just pied-faced (mixture)

And guess what???? I just saw another egg with cracks on it!!! Not too sure whether it will hatched tonight!!!!

Anyway, check out the first baby!!!! I will try to take picture every other day to see how much it grows...=)

Updates of my darling lovies!!!

Yes! Bluey is a female and she laid 4 eggs!! This is her first batch and it has been almost 28 days, nothing out yet. So I guess Kris is right, it maybe infertile eggs due to a premature husband WAHAHAHAHA!
Greenbean was about 7 mths old when he did it..the normal age for them to mate is actually 10 months...they just can't wait any longer!
So damn disappointed =(
But I guess we have to wait for one more week, just in case, before we remove the eggs...

Bluey has been incubating on these lovely eggs for nearly a month!
It's not been an easy task! Luckily she got herself a responsible husband who will feed her by regurgitating. It's a really sweet sight to see how GB feed Bluey =D

Guess we have to discard the eggs after a week if it didn't hatch into babies....=(



















Really got a hard time capturing the both of them together as Bluey is super active!!! Female tend to be bigger than male. Proven!

OK! Today is supposed to be a happy day, cannot say such unlucky stuffs....

Most couple will plan a luxurious celebration for their anniversary, but for me, I thought of something different.
Wanted to go camping at some ulu parts of Singapore and have a mini BBQ, have some wine, enjoy the night breeze and have a nice shag ... (ok I am KIDDING!)

But sway sway my menses arrived at the wrong time, so we cancelled the plan and go for Plan B.

We had a nice dinner at Jack's Place, amk branch. Didn't want to go town as I am sick of the crowds. Decided to have an Indoor picnic instead after dinner!!

We went to AMK Hub NTUC to shop for snacks and some drinks, headed back to my place, put a mattress on the floor, lay the picnic mat (actually it was a quilt cover HAHA), light up a candle, on the air con, pour out the chips in a bowl, had glasses of sparkling wine while watching movies from his mini laptop!!!

Isn't it sweet???? Hahahahaha...
I thoroughly enjoyed myself yesterday night!!!

Last year, I fell asleep before midnight! Poor Kris's plan got busted.
This year, I almost fall asleep as well, I forced myself to be awake!

It's really nice to be with someone who understand you, love you, care for you and be there for you whenever you needed him the most!
I am really happy I've found this special someone......
